Thank you for your interest in the City of Albertville. Located in Marshall County in north Alabama approximately 50 miles south of Huntsville, Albertville is the largest municipality in the county and is affectionately referred to as the “Heart of Sand Mountain”.
It is an exciting time in the City of Albertville as our Administration is currently reviewing the possibility of an entertainment complex to be developed on Alabama Hwy 75 near the intersection of and US Hwy 431. The City Council and I would appreciate your comments on this proposal and ask you to review the following PowerPoint presentation and economic impact study carefully and let us know your thoughts.
We are also extremely proud that the Alabama Aviation College has a campus onsite at the Albertville Regional Airport, which is currently undergoing an expansion to accommodate larger jets. It is our hope that aerospace suppliers and companies looking for a new site because of BRAC will find a home in Albertville’s new technology park, which is to be completed in summer of 2011.
In addition to the technology park, the City of Albertville is currently home to a wide variety of manufacturing facilities (44) located throughout three other industrial parks. These manufacturers are an intergral part of our economy and we appreciate all they contribute to our community.
If you are a newcomer to our area, you may be interested to know that Albertville boasts a world class school system with superb academic standards and is undergone new renovation program which will resulted in new facilities throughout the Albertville High School campus. The City of Albertville is also in close proximity to Marshall Medical Centers, an award winning health care facility, and is within commuting distance to three community colleges and three universities in North Alabama. Albertville is not only a great place to do business because of our favorable tax base & utility costs, but also a great place to live and raise a family.
And last but not least, the City of Albertville and the Albertville Civitan Club are partnering to host the Albertville Christmas Parade and Christmas tree lighting on December 2nd at 5:30 p.m. The theme this year is 'Follow the Star' and we encourage all community, civic, faith-based and school groups to participate.
