Albertville has a Mayor-Council form of government with a Mayor and five council members that are elected at-large every four years.
The legislative functions of the City are exercised by the Council.
The City Council holds Council meetings on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Council chambers at City Hall. Work Sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council chambers at City Hall. If these days fall on a legal holiday, the meeting will be rescheduled and the City Council will announce the revised schedule.
All meetings are open to public and attendance is encouraged. Copies of agendas and minutes may also be requested through the City Clerk's office.
