Animal Control


The mission of Albertville Animal Control is to protect the health and safety of our residents and to protect animals and promote their humane treatment. The Animal Control Officer:

  • Captures stray animals
  • Assists in pet/owner recovery
  • Resolves neighbor disputes over animals
  • Assists the elderly and physically-challenged with animal concerns
  • Advises and teaches residents of their responsibility as pet owners
  • Advises non-pet owners of their rights
  • Assists in the removal of nuisance wildlife

(Nuisance wildlife is defined as wildlife that, presents or is about to present, a threat to the health or safety of the community by means of disease transmission or direct attacks.)
