Biography:
Nathan Broadhurst currently serves as President of the Albertville City Council, marking 15 years of service as of 2025. In his leadership role, he chairs the City Council Finance Committee and actively contributes as a member of both the Community Enhancements and Public Safety/Support Services Committees
Outside of public office, Nathan is a seasoned insurance professional. He has been a licensed insurance agent since 2004 and has owned and operated Farmers Insurance – The Broadhurst Agency since 2015. A 2001 graduate of Athens High School, Nathan studied business at the University of Alabama, where he proudly marched with the “Million Dollar Band” from 2001 to 2003. He holds the designation of Certified Municipal Official and is recognized as a member of the prestigious Farmers Life Blue Vase Society.
Nathan’s commitment to community runs deep. He has served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for Troop 4071 of Albertville, coached youth sports through Albertville Parks & Recreation, and is a member of the Albertville Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. Together with his wife, Callie, he is an active, dedicated volunteer in the kids ministry at Lifepoint Church of Albertville.
Married for nine years, they are the proud parents of five children—three boys and two girls—and share their home with four dogs and a cat! In his “free time,” Nathan enjoys camping, golfing, fishing, and experiencing the adventure of everyday life with his large family.
